Survivors!

A reminder that this coming Tuesday, January 18th, is the FINAL DAY to edit your orders. After Tuesday, orders will be locked and you will not be able to add to or edit your current order.

What does this mean (IMPORTANT)?

It means if you have not completed your order by this coming Tuesday, it will either be cancelled (if your items have not been paid for), or your order will be moved to pre-order status possibly costing you your exclusives or shirts, as these surveys are to help us lock in quantities on these items.

Will I be able to change my address at a later date?

Yes. If you need to change your address before fulfillment you'll be able to, but your order and items will be locked.

We are 86% complete in terms of orders, with 126 people who have not answered their surveys. Please complete your orders within the next 5 days.

Important Dates

Since a few folks have asked, here are the important dates to remember (one more time for the folks in the back):

• Surveys Close (no more editing or adding to your order) - January 18th
• Credit Cards Get Charged by our company Mixtape / FLOAT - January 25th
• Estimated Fulfillment Date / Rewards Shipping - June 15, 2022 (this is an estimate and may change due to manufacturing issues)

Important Note About Credit Card Charges

An important note concerning credit cards. Our previous Kickstarter we had 6 people report their credit cards being charged by MASSACRE & FLOAT GAMES (us) as fraud. This not only resulted in hurting us, as we pay fees for those issues, but it also resulted in those backers not receiving their rewards and being banned from future purchases through our site or Kickstarter.

If you see a charge on your card for MASSACRE & FLOAT GAMES, we assure you it is us, and it is for your Kickstarter rewards. You can even write us if you have questions.

81% of Surveys Complete / New Reveals and Behind The Scenes

Hey Survivors!

Currently surveys are at 81% complete, which is great to see. But that still means 19% of you have not completed your survey. The sooner we are able to complete this, the sooner we can provide our manufacturer final quantities, so please, if you haven't completed your survey, try to make it a priority soon.

Currently backers have 12 days left to complete their surveys.

Remember, your credit cards will be charged on January 18th.

IMPORTANT NOTE BELOW:

If rewards and shipping are not paid for by January 18th, your order may be moved to a pre-order status, meaning we cannot guarantee you will receive any Kickstarter exclusives or your shirt in the size you want, as we need to confirm counts with our manufacturers and vendors before the end of the month, and unpaid orders do not get included in those counts.

Behind The Scenes

The project itself has been moving along nicely. All plastics (dice, water cubes, tracking tokens, and minis) have been sent off for sampling. Below please see renderings of the minis. You'll see some comparisons between the original files provided with small (or big) tweaks made by the manufacturer to make these as awesome as they can be:

We're also revealing the other creature who will be included in the From the Deep deck. This particular creature though, hails from the very island you and your crewmates are trying to get to. Introducing, the death from above incarnate, Calibos the Vulture.

Survivors!

We're currently sitting at 60% completion on surveys. We've had a few questions from a couple backers, so we've compiled this e-mail concerning survey links, credit card charges, and important dates...

Can't Find My Survey

If your survey hasn't arrived in your Inbox (for whatever reason), you can use this link below to recover it. Just enter the email you used during Kickstarter at the link: LOST SURVEY LINK

Credit Card Charges

We've had a few people who have written us thinking their card has been charged, or might be charged twice. If you're using a Credit Card, your card will not be charged until January 25th. If you make changes, the system just sends you an e-mail confirmation showing those changes. It isn't an actual invoice or receipt, just a confirmation. We will send another update when Surveys close (January 18th) and when we charge credit cards (January 25th). We will not be charging anything until then. When your card is charged, you will either see BACKERKIT or our company BRIGHT LIGHT MEDIA as the charge.

IMPORTANT: All BackerKit Invites Going Out Today

The Smoke Test was a success. Now we are ready to begin sending out everyone’s Backerkit Invites as well as opening up for Pre-Orders. This should begin shortly after you receive this update.

If by Monday morning you have not received your survey, please check your Junk / Spam folder. If it's not in there, please use our support form below to request your link and we will personally send it to you.

We have a couple of important reminders to note in concerns to Backerkit surveys:

Failed Card Charges

If your card failed to get charged during Kickstarter, you will have a balance via BackerKit.  You are able to apply a new credit card to it when checking out.

Important Dates

•  December 18th - BackerKit Invites are sent out and Pre-Orders open
•  January 18th - BackerKit Surveys will close (addresses will still be able to be changed, but no more changes to your order can be made). Be sure to have your pledge completed by then.
•  January 25th - Credit Cards will be charged for shipping and additional items.

IMPORTANT: BackerKit Launching & What You Need to Know

We highly recommend you read this update in it's entirety as it will concern the Pledge Manager Process and next steps...

Refunds

A few people reached out about refunds. As 14 days have passed since the campaign ended, refunds can no longer be provided (as noted in our campaign). If you spoke to us before this update, your refund will be processed next week. Otherwise, the option for refunds is over, no exceptions.

Smoke Test

We will be sending out a Smoke Test tonight (like... right after this update). This sends the survey to 5% of our backers in each pledge level to help us 100% confirm the pledge manager is working properly. That means only a few of you will be receiving surveys tonight for testing purposes.

Once the Smoke Test is over, we will send out surveys to everyone (probably middle of the day Saturday, Dec 16th). If you do not receive your survey by Monday, please first check your Junk / Spam folder as sometimes these e-mails tend to go there when first sent. If still not found, please reach out.

Surveys: What To Expect

If you are new to Kickstarter / BackerKit, when you receive your survey, it will contain a link/button that will lead you to BackerKit and allow you to manage your pledge. Once there:

1) Confirm Your Pledge

To start with, we will use this example of a backer who backed THE DEEP Pledge. You'll be brought to this welcome screen. Click GET STARTED and you'll be taken to the questions area.

2) Questions

Some pledges will have questions, like if you backed THE DEEP PLEDGE or switch your pledge level to it, you'll be asked for your shirt size...

3) Add-Ons

NOTE: If you added additional funds to your pledge for other add-ons, those funds will show as credit. Use it to add those items to your pledge. If you used the Add-Ons function during the campaign, those items will already be in your cart.

4) Shipping

Use this area to provide your shipping address. DO NOT WORRY. If you end up needing to change your address at a later point, you'll have up until 2 weeks before rewards ship to change the address, if needed. 

5) Confirm Your Order

Finally, now that you've confirmed your pledge, added any add-ons, and provided your shipping address, you'll use this area to pay for shipping and any additional items not paid for during Kickstarter. You have the option of adding your credit card which will be charged at the date below.

NOTE: If your card failed payment during the Kickstarter process, you'll owe the total of your pledge as well as shipping and add-ons.

You will have until January 18th to complete your survey and order. After that, your order will be locked and no additional add-ons or item changes can be made. This is necessary to confirm quantities and sizes and properly place our order with the manufacturers.

Your card will not be charged until January 25th.

The Smoke Test should occur not too long after this update is released. We'll then send out all surveys towards the middle of the day on Saturday, and post another quick update to let everyone know surveys have been sent.
